Sometimes no matter how hard we try, we can never be a part of something that we want to be in. For me, the best example would be trying to reestablish the bonds with the long lost/never contact primary/secondary school mates. I do feel envious sometimes seeing the photos of my school mates' gatherings, but I know that it's not possible to go into the group and say: "Hey, can I join you guys? Let's be good friends!"

Ya I admit I sound like sour grapes. Pathetic. Gah, why do I even think about that? Regina Ng, you just need to cherish the people that you that are around you always.

Before my memories about this group of awesome people fade off, I want to write my feelings here.

OC Team!

First met this bunch of people in September 2009 without much expectations. "Well, it's just another one off event committee" I thought. We met each other weekly for conference preparation meetings and somehow the bond within the group started to form. The bonding is getting more and more intense when we were facing our result of hardwork-NLDS together. We supported and encouraged each other to overcome any difficulties faced during the period. For this, I thank this group of people a lot a lot. I still remembered I was having depression as there were too much workloads and severe lack of sleep. Needless to say, the ever helpful teammates were always there for me, backed me up and shared my workloads without any reluctance. Our friendship growed and on the last time of the conference, I didn't wish everything to end. I was thinking " After this conference ended, we are not going to be together again."

Surprisingly, we are still close to each other even the event has ended. Everybody is still the one that I knew during the conference period, so sincere, fun-loving and kind. I have fun whenever I am with them. We crack jokes, make fun of one another and care. Sincerely feel grateful to the God for letting this group of people being a part of my life. Hope everyone of them: Sufie, Jasmine, Tu, Emerald, Gongshi, Shi Jun, Hui Zhen, Ron, Dong Chen, Xavier, Charlie, Joanne, Vasudha, Michelle, Fiona and Jonas will ace in everything that they do and be happy everyday. I am so looking forward to seeing them again and again in the future! =)

Sometimes I wonder what is the purpose for me to have this blog:

"Is anybody reading my posts?"

"Am I really writing what I'm thinking honestly?"

"My writing is so dull compared to others, why should I write?"

But then, after abandoning my blog for almost half a year, my revisit to this little humble blog yielded delightful surprises. The comments by fellow bloggermates gave me motivation to continue writing this blog. It doesn't matter who you are, still I would like to thank you for spending a fraction of your precious time reading this. =)

Tears vs. family

I thought I am tough, no matter how stressed, how difficult the situation is, I won't shed a tear. Until recently I found my weakest point-my family. In fact, the tears that I have shed in 2009 all because of my family. Examples:

1) In last february, I had an argument with my sister regarding my decision to go for overseas internship during summer holiday. I was extremely upset and cried like I have never cry for ages.

2) In September, I talked to my roomie about my family. It was not something sad, but as I talked, I couldnt control my emotion and then I teared.

3）I read an article from a friend's blog regarding family. I shed tears while I was reading. I found myself funny because I shed tears so easily?

For me, no matter what decisions that I have done, I won't care what other people say. The thing I need is understanding and support fro my family. That is sufficient for me.

And if, 2012 is really end of the world, would I regret my life?

The answer is no. Because I am too lucky to be born into this family. =)

PS: You know that I always love you all.

(Luckily my family members never stalk my blog, haha!)

Today, a best friend of mine said that she ll be dating somebody. Her dreams came true finally. Should be very very happy for her, but I was terribly shocked.

Well, jealousy of a friend....

On the other hand, I found that I have no immunity towards people that I love. I trust them whole heartedly and I think I will be cheated a lot of times if they lie to me. = =

臺灣之旅- 天使的聲音

上星期，當我正為我的計劃書忙得焦頭爛額的時候，突然聽見，美妙的聲音從一甲班傳出。那美妙的聲音，讓我放下手頭上的工作，跑到一甲班去看個究竟。

原來，他們在為六年級學長們的畢業典禮準備表演，曲目是珍重再見，和周傑倫的説好的幸福呢。他們的歌聲很純真，清澈，像天使般動人。我被他們的歌聲深深吸引了。

Temptation

I am tempted to say all the negative things I have in mind, VERY tempted to do so. There are many things I want to shout about, but I chose to voice it in positive way.

Very strange, no matter how I try to cover up my frustration and fear with positive statement, there still will be a temptation down under asking me to voice out all my frustration.

It's always easier to give in to temptation rather than discipline, isn't it?

臺中臺南之旅-旅程篇(一）

這次的旅程分爲兩個部分：臺中和臺南。先從臺中開始說好了：

臺中篇

由於一些隊員先去臺中和朋友會合，所以只有我們六人（yvonne, 心瑜，佩珊，小正，margriet 還有我）在星期四的一大清早乘火車往台中。我們的票是無座的，原以爲需要站數個小時，沒想到車廂還有很多座位，我們就舒舒服服的坐火車去我們的第一站：心瑜的家鄉-苑裡。

一開始還以爲可以在火車上大睡一番，沒想到和小正心瑜聊開了，他們分享了很多他們在aiesec的經驗，看法，未來的計劃等等，覺得他們超厲害！結果我們一路聊到下車。一些沿途的照片：

抵達苑裡后，沿著很熱鬧的早市走，太過沉醉于欣賞風景，忘了拍照！已經打算完成研習后，再度來這裡，所以一定不會再忘了拍照！

到了心瑜家，出來迎接的是心瑜媽媽。心瑜媽媽非常好客，一邊忙着幫我們打點睡覺的房間，一邊忙着端食物給我們吃。很慶幸可以吃到心瑜婆婆裹的粽子，非常好吃！至今還回味無窮呢。。。

很感激心瑜家的熱情招待，謝過了心瑜媽媽之後，我們往大甲出發。由於時間不夠的關係，沒能在那裏呆很久，只在大甲媽祖廟短暫逗留了一下，毫不過癮！我這次旅程唯一的遺憾就是不能仔細的逛大甲。還沒嘗過他們的奶油酥餅，太陽餅，也還沒在很靈驗的媽祖廟求簽，決定一定會再回去大甲游玩！

從大甲乘火車到台中市，接近一個多小時的路途，猜我們怎樣打發時間？猜中無獎。。。答案是聼演説家小正分享他個人的夢想和理念。第一次遇到可以滔滔不絕講那麽久也不會累的男生，哈哈！我還蠻享受的，不同國家的年輕人交換思想，分享看法。。。從他的談話中領悟到一些新的東西，也算是這旅程的一項收穫吧。。。

到了台中后，第一件要做的事情就是找吃！因爲經過了幾小時的車程，肚子也開始抗議了。小正帶我們到他的高中附近的一家拉麵店吃午餐。那家店的面很有特色，湯是乳白色的，價格也還挺公道的。一些照片：

吃完了我們就到小正的高中參觀。我想現在的他回到了這個充滿回憶又曾經如此熟悉的地方，心中應該有很多感觸吧。。。到了學校，小正一直直呼認不出學校了，變太多了。。。哈！

逛完學校后，來到了一閒不起眼的飲料店，俗語說：人不可貌相。我說店家也是。這家店有很多稀奇古怪的飲料，例如：核廢料（仙草，奶油，綠茶，紅豆和其他的混合物），心痛的感覺（一杯50元的白開水），死了都要愛（蔓越梅綠茶），隨便（老闆替你決定你的飲料），等等等等。。。不得不佩服老闆的創意。

之後，我們到附近的市集購物，吃小吃。男隊友們也趕來和我們會合。就這樣逛阿逛，逛了市集又到百貨公司逛。我們也有去誠品書局看書，個人超愛那個地方，讓我一天就呆在裏面當書蟲吧！

晚餐時間，我們在一家古早味十足的餐廳-香蕉新樂園吃晚餐，食物很yummy！^^

晚餐后，我們就乘車回去心瑜的家，男生則住在小正位于日南的家。在心瑜的家，我睡得很香，應該是太累了吧。。。不過，那還是很開心的一天。很喜歡心瑜說的一句話：“和你們旅行，就像是換了一雙眼睛看臺灣。 ”

我也想回你同樣的話。=）因爲你們，我才可以用這雙眼睛，看到這樣的臺灣。謝謝！=）

臺中臺南之旅-想法篇

1）認識真正的你

在往台中的旅途中，很幸運的，可以和我們最敬愛的VP ICX -小正聊天。那時候，小正和我們分享他對一些事情的想法和他的夢想等等，然後，突然閒：

小正：我平常都較少和member聊到這一塊。每一次和大家聚在一起，都是爲了AIESEC的事情而忙。説不定，你們比他們還知道這些事情。

那時候，不知道爲什麽，腦袋突然閒出現了一個想法，於是就對他說：

我：比起YZLC的VP ICX, 我想我們更想了解小正，你這麽一個人。

之後，我被我自己說的話嚇倒了。還覺得自己說的話蠻有道理的，之前，有多少次，自己交朋友的時候，只是知道朋友身邊的事，朋友的身份，反而不了解他/她的看法，思想，個性呢？

終于領悟到了，我想認識的你們，是你們真正的自己，而不是你們的附屬品。

“想要看你看的東西，想要聼你聼的東西，想要了解你想的東西，想要了解你這個朋友，這個人。 ”

你也一樣嗎？=）

2）不想忘記你

在台期間，一個被問了很多遍的問題：

他人：你要拍個人照嗎？我幫你拍。

我：不用了，謝謝！

他人：你好象不太愛上鏡哦。

不能完全否定，因爲比起被拍，我比較喜歡我是拍照的那個人，拍下現在和我在一起的朋友們，然後收藏這一刻。如果太多我自己的照片，我想我會只記得我自己吧。。。有了你們的照片，希望過了很久以後，我還記得當年的我，是和誰一起笑，玩，瘋，擦身而過，同甘共苦等等等。。。説穿了，我不想忘記你們。^^

另一方面，因爲我喜歡用相機捕捉大夥們自然的表情，現在已經被一些朋友稱爲偷拍狂。其中一些有趣的作品：

3）只想要坦白

“ 不愛説謊，更討厭別人對自己説謊！ ”

前一天，發現我們很信任的朋友對我們有隱瞞的地方。雖然不是什麽大事件，但被信任的朋友隱瞞了真相，感覺真的真的很難過。那一天，鬱悶了一整晚。心裏有很多疑問：

“爲什麽不直接說？爲什麽要隱瞞？我們有那麽幼稚，不能接受事實嗎？ ”

不怪你，要的只是很簡單：“以後，請坦白。 ”

臺灣之旅-上課趣味篇（二）

上星期，在五甲的班上：

我：Sherry, who is your favorite singer?

Sherry: My favorite singer is xiao xun, Hey Girl 的 xiao xun

我：黑豆的小薰？

全班：（暴笑）老師，是hey girl, 不是黑豆。。。

我：哦。。。hey girl的小薰。。。老師沒聼過呢

全班：（繼續暴笑）

告白記

有一天，當我和yvonne 在吃飯時，有兩位一年級的小男生來到用餐的地方：

男生甲：（手指另一位）老師，他喜歡你！

男生乙：（手指另一位）老師，他喜歡你！

說完，兩個小男生一臉害羞在笑。

我：哦。。。你們兩個老師都喜歡啊。。。

結果，兩位可愛的小男生很靦腆，一邊互指對方喜歡老師，一邊跑出去。。。果然，小朋友真是可愛！

3）出國記

昨晚由於要去我猜的現場錄影，所以特意向學校申請了一天的假期。今天當我回到學校時，一年級的小男生問我：

學生：老師，怎麽昨天我沒有看到你呢？你去了那裏啊？

我：因爲老師昨晚有活動，所以請假。

學生：老師，你去了歐洲嗎？

我：（開玩笑）嗯。。。

學生：美國？

我：嗯。。。

學生：老師，你去交男朋友哦？

我：嗯。。。

學生：一臉錯愕然後暴笑。。。

我：= = lll

4）就與久

由於學習漢語拼音的關係，我念‘就’的發音為"jiu", ”誰’ 的發音為"shui"。結果，某一天，學生問我：

學生甲：老師，爲什麽你的音調怪怪的呢？爲什麽你的‘就 ’是念jiu?應該是jiou才對。。。

我：已經念習慣了，所以就。。。

學生甲：是jiou不是jiu!

我：好。。。jiou! jiou!

學生：嗯嗯！

我：無語。。。

臺灣之旅-上課感動篇

雖然在學校只呆了一個星期多，但遇到的很多人和事情，都讓我很感動。其中如下：

1）學生的期待

上個星期，分別教了幼稚園和二年級的學生。教了他們唱英語兒歌，教他們玩遊戲，教他們念英語。。。當課結束的時候，學生們對我說：

“老師，我最喜歡這節課了！”

“老師，你什麽時候再來？”

“老師，你要去哪裏？”

“老師，爲什麽沒有每天教我們？”

聼在耳裏，心裏很是感動。。。

今天，午休時特意去探望幼稚園的小朋友們，一些學生見到我就向前抱我，一直用不太完整的句子跟我説話，一直問我什麽時候來，真得很開心也很感動！學生們對我這個半吊子的老師那麽的包容，喜愛，謝謝你們！。。。嗯，我也喜愛你們哦！

2）學生們的熱情

六年級的明諺和廷修，謝謝你們教了我那麽多原住民語哦！（雖然大部分是髒話，哈！）
也謝謝明諺那麽熱情，要帶老師去玩哦！=）

3) 親切的老師們

謝謝洪老師特意弄早飯給我們吃！謝謝侯老師特意到桃園來接送我們回宿舍！謝謝惠惠老師像媽媽般那樣照顧我們！謝謝陳老師給我們發早餐！謝謝劉老師盛邀我們去你的家玩！

這裡有太多人情我還不了，只能把這份感激的心情埋在心裏深處，把這份感謝他們的心情寫在部落格上，記錄起來，讓自己不忘記。。。

真誠的謝謝你們！我真的很幸福！=）

臺灣之旅-上課趣味篇（一）

抵台已有一個星期多的時間，目前在桃園縣復興鄉儸浮囯小任教，從大學生的身份搖身一變，成爲老師，感覺還蠻新鮮的。。。開始適應了當教師的生活，但在學校遇到的趣事層出不窮，讓我啼笑皆非。以下是慧敏老師在學校所遇到的一些趣事：

1.男生 x 女生

在我教的其中一班，有三位超可愛的小帥哥。他們很活潑也很可愛，雖然有點皮，但還蠻聽話的。直到昨天，當我請他們用英語自我介紹的時候：

我：What is your name?

帥哥一號：My name is Sherry.
帥哥二號：My name is Judy.
帥哥三號：My name is Angela.
我：你們怎麽都給自己取女生的名字呢？
全班：老師，她是女生~~~
我：。。。。。（驚嚇過度）

這個是我出生以來，第一次認錯他人的性別，好丟臉！！！他們的照片：

2）調皮的小男生

有一天，學校舉辦了營養講座會，全體師生都有出席。當營養師說到飯的分量的時候，六年級的一位男學生開始戲弄我：

營養師：每一餐吃一碗飯就已經足夠。
男學生：老師，以你的身形，一餐一定要吃三碗。
我：不不不，我每一餐都吃十碗飯，這樣才夠！
男學生：（一副很驚訝的表情）真的哦？！
我：真的啊！
男學生：點頭

3）搖滾樂

學生：老師，你喜歡什麽歌？
我：我喜歡搖滾樂！
學生：搖滾哦。。。
我：嗯！！

然後，學生在上課時做出搖滾樂團的姿勢，讓我哭笑不得。。。XD

4）簡體字和繁體字

昨天，分別到了二年級，五年級和六年級的班去教書：

二年級的班裏

我：APPLE 是蘋果的意思（隨後在黑板寫了簡體的蘋果）
學生：老師你把蘋果的蘋寫錯了。。。
我：真不好意思，由於老師學的是簡體字。。。

班上的學生們都用奇怪的眼神看着我，有點無地自容

六年級的班裏，學生們太吵了

我：ｓｉｌｅｎｔ！！！（在黑板上寫了ｓｉｌｅｎｔ和簡體的安靜）
調皮的男生：老師，你怎麽把安靜的靜寫錯了？真差。。。
全班：（瞪着我看）
我：不好意思，由於老師學的是簡體字。。。
另外一位男生：老師，靜是那樣寫的。。。（謝謝這位乖學生教我！）

５）原住民語

在六年級的班上，

我 : 大家請用英語自我介紹！
男學生甲：My name is anang
我：Anang?
男學生甲： anang! anang!

後來才知道，anang 在原住民語的意思是白癡。我還在班上念了那麽多遍anang。。。丟臉啊。。。

A delayed post... There are 2 special days in May, one is my Mom's birthday and another one is Mother's day. Since I flew off to taiwan on 9th May, we had Mother's day cum birthday celebration for mom a day before my flight. This year, it was special because we made the celebration cake for mom and I cooked dinner for my family. =)

Call me coward or anything, I am afraid of addicting to something that I like. The moment when I start to addict,

Phase 1:I would want to know more and more about the thing, use up my time to search
everything I can know. (Counter productivity)

Phase 2: I would think about the thing that I addicted to, day and night, causing me unable to
concentrate.

Phase 3: The worst of all, sense of possessing. I would want to possess the thing. I consider such
thinking as something really really bad. Never ever let me fall into phase 3.

Very terrible, huh? That's why I always refrain myself from addicting to any people, things that I like a lot. Addiction will ripe off all my rationality, turning me into somebody that I do not know as well.

Ask me the thing I scare the most? My addiction.

It has been quite a long time since I last went out with my whole family. A day after I went back to Malaysia which was on 1st of May, we went out together and I enjoyed very much time spent with them.

First, we went to PJ Kwan Yin temple for praying session and blood donation. Yes, blood donation... The temple organizes blood donation on Labour Day annually. This year, my dad and I joined as blood donor. The assistants were friendly and nice, but the nurses weren't... It was bloody painful when the nurse insert the needle into my vein. My god!!! Be merciful please...

After blood donation, it 's lunch time! We had our late lunch at TGI Fridays, IOI mall new wing:

Loaded potato skin: Mediocre...Nothing to shout about
Sesame chicken strips: Fried chicken strips with
some veggie and sesame. Again a disappointing dish
Chicken Caeser's salad: The worst of the all...The veggies were
overloaded with the super cheesy and salty dressing...Terrible
Jack's Daniel Chicken: I especially enjoy the cheese mashed potato!
Yummy!

The star dish of the day! Fettucine with breaded eggplant. Delish indeed!

Although the food were disappointing, it s the family companion that counts. Overall I still had a lovely lst of May... Will be going to Low Yat with sister today! Yay,excited! =)

A little reflection

Finally finished my last paper of the semester today, exam is gone, the only thing left is the proof that I didnt study hard enough, which will be reflected on my result transcript later on. Should I bang my head to the wall, or should I regret only after exam has ended?

Haha, now can only laugh wryly at myself. Put it aside, another semester has ended, looking back, what have I achieved in the semester? I think myself did not achieve much, a lot more hardwork need to be put in the next 7 months so that I don't waste another year doing nothing...

To myself: You better remember the lesson! Dun fall into the same situation again! Well, no more again...

How can this happen concurrently? Thinking the same matter with my mom and sister without telling each other...

Case 1: Mom's birthday cake

Mom's birthday is approaching, glad that I have time to go back and celebrate with mom. Since I have time back in Malaysia, I am thinking to bake a birthday cake for mom! Not the usual one, but a nice cake with decorations and fresh cream! Initially thought of talking to my sister about this, who knows during chatting session with my sister:

Sister: Let's make a cake for mom's birthday! Not the usual one, but cream cake...Strawberry cake

Me: ( Shock + surprise) We have telepathy! I have been thinking of baking a cake for mom's birthday too!

Yup! That is the case. Will update the outcome of the strawberry cake! =）

Case 2: Mom's dumpling

Since from last week I have been craving for mom's dumplings. Today when I talked to mom over the phone:

Mom: Want to eat dumpling?

Me: ( Surprised!!!) Of course! Initially I thought of asking you to make, but scared that it will be too troublesome for you, so I didn't ask...

Mom: I'll make for you, then you come back can eat...

Me: ( Warmth in my heart)

So, I can eat mom's dumpling when I go back! Happy~~

Finally I did it! Haha, guessed you guys had a pleasant surprise...=)

The idea of having this supper started 2 months ago, I wanted to thank them for being so helpful all the while and then, nothing is better than cooking a simple supper for them during high stress mugging period. And so, tada... a thank you supper was organized!!!

Post CA outing

After clearing all my CAs and events officially on Saturday, I had a good sleep until 12.00pm next day. To reward myself, I went for shopping spree cum outing with the lovely Tammy on Sunday.

First stop: Orchard

We had girls talk along our way to Orchard and as usual, camwhoring...

Tammy's eyes sparkled when she saw a pair of super cool heels at Charles&Keith. The dialogues that she kept repeating:

Tammy: " Should I buy it? "
" I want those heels!"
" The shoe looked damn nice, right?"
" Should I buy? Should I ? Should I not?"

and repetitions after we walked out of the store...

Then we entered Forever 21, an american fashion chain store. I was stunned by the choices of clothes and the designs, not to mention all items are reasonably priced ...From now on, Forever 21 is on my list!

2nd stop: Vivocity, Harbour Front

My stomach was growling after hours of walking here and there... Although Miss Tammy wasn't hungry, we still decided to have our dinner @ Japanese Food Street...

The modanyaki was surprisingly good! I like the texture of egg crepe, yaki soba and pancake together in one. It has a nice smoky aroma as well...Drooling...

After dinner, the shops that we visited:

In Giant hypermart, somebody was constantly tempted by the chocolate and sweet devil...

Trust

Trust is a miracle thing, it makes people feel good but at the same time vulnerable. It takes time to build trust among people, it may be days, months or years.

Trust is a big big big issue. Sometimes we are skeptical about trusting people, by choosing to trust people, we are open ourselves to all sorts of vulnerabilities as well as betrayals. But the reward is waiting, we are able to getting closer with the people we trusted. For me, "I trust you" is a very powerful word, it gives me energy. It dismisses my doubts about myself. It gives me courage to continue my life journey as I know I am not alone. =)

I don't know how long my naive thoughts are going to continue, but I chose to trust. I wish to know more and more and more. How about you?

Happiness

After the ICON RC'09 Grand Finale had ended, got the news that our beloved VP external, Grace is admitted into Harvard Medical Engineering School for PhD studies. Congratulations! U rock!!!

When I was walking back with my colleague, I told her that I want to become a happy person. Then, her reply really inspired me:

" If you want to become happy, you just need to lower your expectation, then you will always do things that beyond your expectations and be happy because happiness is a feeling of fulfillment. "

Another word of encouragement from her:

" You are just in year 2, still have a lot of things to be polished. Who knows when you are in your final year, people will say: '' Wow, Regina is great! I admire her a lot! ''

I don't know how much I can go in the future, but I will certainly move step by step to become a better me. Thanks, Xie Dan! =)

Recently I am so addicted to a Japanese rock band called SID. They are so cool!!!(screams) The band consists of Mao (vocal), Aki (bass), Shinji (guitar) and Yuuya (drum). Among 4 members, I like drummer Yuuya the most. Don't ask me why, I have extremely weak immunity towards guys that can play drum well. I mean they have damn good coordination and stamina to keep playing drum throughout a concert. That's cool! Here are some of my favorite songs from SID:

Back in Singapore after CNY...

I am seriously missing my family and relatives now. I want to see you guys, I want to chat with you guys and I want to eat with you guys!!! Why are the happy moments ended so fast? Just before I took bus back to Singapore, I was still in heaven, but once I reached here, I felt like I fall into hell with endless reports, activities and bla bla bla...

Now have a bit of flu some more, bleh!!! But never mind, I will work hard in these days and I am praying( praying so that I can go back more often...) for chances to meet all of you again!

Bee Won Korean Restaurant

My family went to Bee Won Korean Restaurant in Ampang after we were back from Bukit Tinggi trip in the early january. Haha...it has been such a long time after I updated my last post, blame the busy time schedule...=.=

Lets talk about food in Bee Won:

Bee Won is a small korean restaurant owned by
a korean family.It has very nice ambience within.

A cup of oh-so-nice ginseng tea to rejuvenate after
long hilly journey.

Variety of side dishes...Each dish fared quite well in terms
of taste and aroma. My personal favorite is potato salad (bottom left),
beancurd pancake(middle right) and green veggie =)

Condiments that came with braised pig trotters

Yummy korean pancake and braised pig trotter.
The pig trotter was tad of tasteless though.

My portion of ginseng chicken! I was unable to take
the photo of the dish before it was served. But anyways,
who cares as the dish is yummy =)

My sis ordered kimchi soup with rice. It can be
a nice tummy warmer during rainy days!

My order: Kimchi fried rice! Nice sunny side rite?
Taste wise not bad, but because I was too full that time and
I needed to finish it, I didnt think it was nice. Now, I miss it...

Nice cuppa barley to end our meal...

For a satisfying meal which fed 5 of us until 200% full, I was quite surprised that this meal was costed only RM130++. Quite reasonable right? I will pay a visit again when I crave for korean food in Malaysia...I want to eat bbq....

1) Yeast Cat got his name ( it is male) because he likes to eat anything with yeast such as bread, pau etc etc...

2) Princess Cat is called such because she behaves elegantly( should I use the word elegant? =.=)
Besides, she likes to grab our attention, also easily jealous when she sees us playing other cats...

3) Little Black, as you see, she has black fur... =)

Today is the last day of 2008, let me sum up my 2008:

Let's see...

1) The most important event...I turned 21!!! Hahaha...=P

2) Disastrous summer research. The main reason is not because of my strict mentor as some of you knew, it s because of my own mentality. I didn't put in enough effort to make it a good learning experience. In short, it is a man made incident which I definitely would not want to see in the future.

3) Organized my first ever event - MSA Farewell and Appreciation Night. This was an small scale event to thank our graduating seniors and alumni for their contribution to MSA. Although it's nothing grand, I did put in a lot of efforts to make it a good one together with my teammates. For the first time, I experienced the difficulties as a leader (I admit I am a lousy leader) and the pressure behind it. Of course, I can't forgot those who helped and supported us in making the event a success, I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. Overall, every every little thing I encountered throughout the organization of the event, will keep remaining as one of my great memories in my uni life.

Talking about new year resolutions...

1) Get better grades. ( Seriously need better grades )

2) Get internship to train myself more.

3) Be happy always. =) ( Something that I found getting more and more difficult to achieve when we get older.)

Hmm...reflection...Nothing spectacular happened in my 2008. However, I am feeling grateful to be able to be with my beloved family and friends year after year. Let's work for better in 2009!

友情と愛情

Yesterday, I came across some meaningful sentences in the movie. There is one that I couldn't agree more...

" 友情は静かな月のように、太陽の現れない前の大空に輝く。だが、恋の光を受けるとすぐにいろ褪せてしまう。"

Direct translation:

" Friendship is like a quiet moon, without the presence of the sun, shining in the sky above. However, when the light of love shines, immediately its color fades."

Currently in the period where some close friends around me getting engaged in love relationship. Indeed happy for them, but at the same time feeling somehow weird as the time spent together getting lesser and lesser. I am reminiscing the moment we hanged out together, crapped together etc etc...

Haha...Oops...Getting emo... For all my dear friends who are reading this, just want to let you guys know that:

" We are friends , therefore, for forever, there won't be time when we need to break up."

Toogi korean restaurant, Chinatown

Second day after finished my exam, I went to Chinatown, Novena and Orchard with Tammy. We met at boon lay mrt station at around 1pm. Since our stomach were growling, we made chinatown our first stop to have our lunch.

The restaurant that we went in is called Toogi, if not mistaken. As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by friendly korean staffs there. Our order, rice cake and dumpling ramen (me), dolsot bibimbab (tammy), and korean pancake.

Korean pancake...Yum yum...

Rice cake and dumpling ramen...Taste ok but
who would want to spend money to eat instant
noodles? The rice cake was nice though, QQ in texture.

Kimchi and cucumber

Raddish and veggie. I like the taste of the veggie =)

Ikan bilis and some sort of kuchai I think...=P

That was a satisfying meal as the taste of the food was not bad, reasonable priced. It is considered one of the nice eating places in Singapore and I will definitely go back again if have chance. =)

Post exam celebration!!!

Finally I finished my exam on 20th, think about outings and entertainments 1st, then result later. Haha...

At 7.00pm sharp on that day, my whole body relaxed as it signaled the end of my nightmare as a student for this semester. After that, me, jingti, jun xuan met up with tammy, wailan, york wieo, yenyen, yishin, and shu cong for a post exam celebration. Yay!

We decided to go Clark Quay, a place which is famous for its drinking places and night sceneries. During the journey to Clark Quay, the whole group of us kept making fun out of each other, taking photos and stuff. Quite embarassing actually...The loudest group in the MRT...

We reached there around 9.00pm, all of us were super hungry and we headed into a restaurant called Kyomomoyama located inside The Central. We opted for a private room which turned to be a good idea as we made a lot of noises. =)

Food wise, tammy and me shared a set of tonjikatsu and sushi set, which was a big disappointment.
During makan session...

The soup is watery and tasteless. Boo to the so
called fine japanese restaurant.

The one on the left is the pickle, not crunchy and
too sweet, the one on the right is tuna flakes, ayam
brand tuna is even better.

Pork katsu with onion and egg gravy, the meat
was hard and not fresh, the gravy was over sweetened.

During our eating session, tammy and me put equal amount of the wasabi available on the sushi plate on each other's sushi and ate it at one go. The taste was horrible... I never had so much wasabi like this time.

We sang, we had fun during the makan session. Afterwards, we moved to have a stroll at river side and took tons of photos. Some of them:

We headed to Ah Fang for supper after back from Clark Quay. We blowed water ( chui shui ) until 3.30 am. Thanks to Shu Cong the main story teller cum CNN annoucer... =P

Back to NTU and slept at 5 am... Thank you guys for such a wonderful post exam outing! =)

Third day of the exam

By now, I had finished 4 papers. It was tiring indeed, but what made me feel worse was my stupid-ness. Can't find other words to substitute. I have sat for 4 papers, 4 papers turned out to be my nightmare. Well, can only blame myself for all these...

Still have another 2 papers to go...Hopefully I can gain back my motivation...
